ASSEMBLY / KITTING OF PARTS As a full service provider of machined and fabricated components and manufacturing solutions, Imperial Machine & Tool Company is particularly adept at a wide variety of large and small mechanical assembly. Our facility is serviced throughout with cranes, hoists, and forklifts, enabling us to handle and manipulate large and/or heavy workpieces for ease of assembly. While many of our major military customers require large assembly capability, our commercial and tech sector customers utilize a different skill set. Bench top and ultra-clean work surfaces, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic assembly and test are standard applications for us. Point-to-point wiring, electro-mechanical build work, and pre-assembled chassis help keep our customers clean rooms and final assembly areas humming along. One of the key strategies we employ with many of our customers is developing “kits” of components that help ease their final assembly processes. Typically these kits are all the items required for a major build project. Many of the items are custom-made fabrications or machined components built specifically to drawing or Tech Data Pack. The balance of the “kitted” items are commercial hardware or similar components bagged, tagged, and labeled in the required quantities and packaging to enable easy field assembly, rebuilt, or retrofit. It is not unusual for us to keep these kits in stock and available for immediate or just-in-time delivery. Our customer-driven approach to business allows us to customize almost any aspectof this process. We typically work closely with our customers to develop the best strategy to enable them to keep work flowing efficiently through their facilities.
